Rose Mary 's Obituary

Rose Mary Hickox, age 90, of Yale, IL passed away at 12:02 pm on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Rose Mary was born on March 8, 1928, in Jasper County, IL, the daughter of Harry Harlen Snearley and Blanche Clark Snearley. She married Rex Hickox on November 10, 1946, in Jasper County, IL; they shared over 71 years of marriage.

She was the mother of 5 sons and 3 daughters: Ilene (Carroll) Stinson, Anita (Rick) Wattleworth, Don (Jeanette) Hickox, Dale (Dixie) Hickox, David (Jan) Hickox, Darrel (Linda) Hickox, Rowena Warren, and Danny (Monica) Hickox; 23 grandchildren and the 50th great-grandchild will be arriving in July. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Hap Miller, granddaughter, Katie Stinson and son-in-law, Tony Warren.

Rose Mary was a member of the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ. Her life was spent enjoying farm life and nurturing her children and grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Casey United Methodist Church with Brother Boyd Sellers, Michael Hickox and Dusty Hickox officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Cemetery, rural Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Sunday evening at Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N State Highway 49, Casey, IL.
