Not sure what to say?

Judy was a special lady and a wonderful neighbor for many years. Pinckneyville will not be the same without her and Tony. My prayers for all of you.

Donna Jenkins Albrecht

Judith Ann's Obituary

Judith Ann Beninati, beloved wife, mother, Nanna and Great-Nanna, 83, passed away on June 22, 2018 at 4:12a.m.  Judy was born on September 19, 1934 to Bert and Mattie Heglar.  Judy was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Tony Don, for 64 years.

You could say Judy died of a broken heart, because it was so full of love for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her husband Tony passed away on April 16, 2018

Judy was the mother of five children; Toby (Deb) Melbourne, FL; Eric (Barbara) Humble, TX; Becky Wolfgram (David) Columbus, MN; Scott (Kathy) Jacksonville, FL; and Cathy Wangstad (Erik), Bloomington, MN.  She was also Nanna to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Judy loved her family, friends and breakfast at Dixie’s.  Her greatest joy was sitting on the front porch with a glass of ice tea visiting with friends and family and telling stories.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Fozard, Steve and Miles Priebe, and the entire hospital staff for their compassionate care over the years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother, Bert Jr., and sister, Marilyn Bigham.

The family would like to thank everyone in Pinckneyville for their love and support.  Although we all live out of town, we have never forgotten what a wonderful, caring and supportive community Pinckneyville is.

Finally, thank you to Diane Davis, Derek and Taylor Beninati for their support and care for so many years!  We are forever grateful.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating.  Interment will be immediately following at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL has been entrusted with arrangements.
