Hazel M. Keller, age 90, of Martinsville, Illinois passed away at 8:28 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Willowbrook in Marshall, Illinois. She was born November 7, 1927 in Martinsville, Illinois to Charles and Bertha (Weber) Staley. On March 16, 1946 she married Harold William Keller in Kentucky. He passed away on April 14, 2003.
Survivors include her children, Jeanne ( Stanley) Reeds of Bethalto, Illinois; Don Keller of Martinsville, Illinois; Beverly ( Bill) Gandy of Potts Camp, Mississippi and Chris (Jerry) Hills of Martinsville; nine grandchildren, Beth Reeds Hofherr, Rebecca Reeds, Sarah Reeds, Jenny Keller Herriot, Ian Keller ,Lauren Gandy, Cade Gandy, Blake Hills and Kellen Hills; ten great grandchildren, Paul Schreiber, Katie Schreiber, Will Schreiber, David Hofherr, Bodhi and Eli Herriot, Kinslee Keller, Jackson Hills, Ainsley and Kaine Hills and one sister, Mildred Dix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold W. Keller, her parents, two brothers, Gerald Staley and Larry Staley, one sister, Zola Maurer and granddaughter, Penni Reeds Schreiber.
During their 57 years together Harold and Hazel enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida and visiting family and friends. Hazel was a member of Martinsville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Doane officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, Illinois.
Memorial donations may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 1004 Health Center Dr., Mattoon, IL 61938 or Willowbrook, 1002 N Second St., Marshall, IL 62441.
