Obituary
David's Obituary
David Allen Heard, age 62, of Coulterville, IL passed away on Friday August 3, 2018 at his home in Coulterville surrounded by his family.
David was born August 5, 1955, a son to Lloyd J. and Evelyn I. (Powers) Heard. He had worked in the coal mine industry for over 30 years most recently for RMR Construction Company at Prairie State, Lively Grove, IL. He was a member of U.M.W.A. for several years and loved to hunt especially in Colorado and go fishing. David was the world’s biggest Cubs fan and loved Blues Hockey. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Survivors include his life partner, Debbie Rackley of Coulterville, IL; one son, Joseph D. Heard of Benton, IL; three daughters, Dawn Rackley of Coulterville, IL, Tara Rackley (fiancé, Trevor Cockrum) of Coulterville, IL and Crystal (Junior) Averbeck of Coulterville, IL; ten grandchildren, Madison, Chandler, Alyssa, Tyler, Lizzy, Maci, Chase, Alexa, Lily and Brianna; one great-grandson, Aidyn; sister, Ruth Hawkins of DuQuoin, IL; brother, Jim Heard of Shelbyville, TN; brother, Fred Heard of DuQuoin, IL; and sister, Kathy Heard of Pinckneyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Michael L. Heard.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with Stephen Miles and Daren Sawh officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
