Carl Nelson Kingery, age 85, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. He was born June 28, 1933 in Montrose, IL the son of Alvis Gaston Kingery and Mary Frances Runyun Kingery. On August 18, 1956 he married Sheilda Verniece Graham in Mississippi. She passed away on September 15, 1998.
Survivors include son, Mark Kingery (Fern) of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Mary Lou Steenbergh (Gunner) of Martinsville, IL; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; son, Tony Ray Kingery; three brothers, five sisters and one great grandson.
Carl worked for Midwest Body Corporation in Paris, IL as an assembler of truck beds. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Martinsville Christian Church in Martinsville with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Martinsville Christian Church, 324 N. York St., Martinsville, IL.
