Bonnie J.'s Obituary

Bonnie J. Branch, age 74, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 8:22 a.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL.

Bonnie was born on July 21, 1944 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Alvie and Hazel (Thompson) Keller. In August 1984, she married Charles “Chuck” Branch in Hillsboro, IL and he survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL. In her lifetime, she was a homemaker and a caregiver to many and had worked at Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, DuQuoin, IL, as well as other local nursing homes and at Gold Plate, DuQuoin, IL. Bonnie enjoyed caring for the elderly and giving to others and dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Charles “Chuck” Branch of DuQuoin, IL; a daughter, Tina Horner (David Boling) of Tamaroa, IL; three sons, Brian (Tracy) Horner of Elkville, IL, Paul (Lory) Horner of DuQuoin, IL and Carl Branch of DuQuoin, IL; a brother, John Bird of Florida; eight grandchildren, Kristie Boling, David Eric Boling, Lisa Boling, Kenneth Boling, Mark Horner, Jaron Shockley, Briana Shockley and Robert Shockley; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mark Horner; a grandson, Jared Boling; and her twin brother, Ronnie Bird.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joe Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Hallidayboro Cemetery, Hallidayboro, IL.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL or Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, DuQuoin, IL.
