Not sure what to say?

Thoughts and prayers are going out to the Lowe family. Although I did not know him, the things I have heard and read tell me he was a wonderfully kind and loving man and also very passionate when it came to his hobby. May God give you peace and comfort in the coming weeks and months. Pam Keene

I am so sorry to hear that Duck has passed away. He was a great person! My sister Paula put my son in the rumble seat of Duck's antique car half way through the Mardi Gras parade when Jeremy was maybe 7 years old. I turned around and they were gone! Paula laughed and told me where I could find them after the parade. Duck said he figured somebody would come after him. Jeremy had such a good time that the next year, we met at the railroad building and Duck drove while Jeremy thew out...

my deepest sympathy to Nancy, Debbie, Donnie, and Brian. Nancy you and Don were very helpful to Annie and me adjusting to life in waterloo. knowing don the first thing he did at the main gate up there upon entering, he probably asked where is the scrap pile? upon finding it don fixed that broken wing, put an old string on that harp, and fixed that old horn that would only blow air. Hats off to a great man and family. love randy and annie.

Just the mention of his name brings a smile to my face along with a flood of joyful memories from our home at 930 Bell Street. Duck was able to easily fill a room with Love & Laughter along with a bit of mischievous behavior my dad, ofcourse, would eagerly be awaiting for his chance to partake, well, that is when he wasn't the instigater. Nancy, our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. Love Rich & Jami(Drenner) Barta

What a great man and a wonderful Family. When they lived in our neighborhood in Waterloo, Iowa we saw them often and they made us feel like Family! Duck was such a gentle giant of a man! His presence was felt the moment he walked into a room. If we had a problem he was the first to help you solve it. He was so good at everything he did. Nancy & Family know that He and all of You will live forever in our hearts God Bless & Comfort you all!

As I read the life of Uncle Duck I have so many memories of our visits through my young years. As a child he was such a tall man and loved to tease. One memory that stood out was in the summertime, when we were visiting it was hot and muggy, and Aunt Nancy always made sure when Duck got home the house would be cooled down so he could relax after being out all day in the elements. The love and care you two had resonated with me. Uncle Duck you can now rest in peace and comfort.

Donnie, Dee and family,
So sorry for the loss of your dad. He was an awesome guy, always smiling and ready to help. So much fun to talk to. I remember when he let my nephew, Jeremy, ride in his antique car in the parade. Jeremy got the biggest kick out of that. We'll miss talking to him at Pulaski Day, already missed him last year. Please know Jeff and I are thinking of all of you, and praying that your memories will bring comfort to you.

Nancy and family--may God wrap all of you in His love and comfort at this most difficult time.

Sorry for your loss.
