Bonnie June's Obituary

Bonnie June Bridges, age 82, of Tamaroa, IL, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2:15 a.m. in Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, DuQuoin, IL.

Bonnie was born on February 16, 1936 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Wayne Ira and Iva Orlean (Marlow) Bridges. After graduation from Pinckneyville High School she moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana, where she worked in a factory. A few years later she moved back to Illinois and worked at Decca Records. Bonnie was a member of Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, where she taught Sunday School for young children for many years. She enjoyed doing family genealogies and collecting pictures of all her family past and present. She loved planting flowers, staying with and caring for elderly people.

Survivors include one sister, Bessie Kozuszek of Nashville, IL; two brothers, Ed (Sue) Bridges of Tamaroa, IL and Ricky Bridges of Pinckneyville, IL; a special cousin, Karla Johnson; and other cousins; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Sonia May Bridges, Mary Johnston and Pat Haggard; one brother, Bob Bridges; two brother-in-laws, Bob Kozuszek and Don Haggard.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Collin Hirsch officiating. Interment will be at Campbell Cemetery on Blue Bunting road east of Pinckneyville, IL off Highway 154.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
