My deepest sympathies and condolences to you all, Toby, Denise, and Tina!! Donnie was an awesome guy/nurse!! Haven't seen him in years but I'm sure his great personality was still there. I'm sure he will be missed.

Donald Ivan “Don” Bird, age 45, formerly of Belleville, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 11:17 a.m. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Don was born on September 13, 1973 in Sparta, IL, the son of Toby and Denise Bird. Don graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School in 1991; he attended Southwestern Illinois College and graduated in 1995 from Barnes Jewish School of Allied Health with registered Nurse License. Don was a dedicated nurse at many facilities including Willow Creek, DaVita, Bernalillo County Jail and Laguna Rainbow Elderly Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was loved by many of his patients and families.
Survivors include his parents, Toby and Denise Bird; his son, Alexander Michael Bird, sister, Kristina Davis and Fiancé, Butch Needham ; one nephew, Anthony Davis; one niece, Alyssa Davis; two uncles, Ervin (Shirley) Bird and Teddy (Alice) Bird; one aunt, Joyce Reeves-Neemann; and one great niece, Kynzlie Davis.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheyenne Audrey Bird; grandparents Ted and Zella Bird,; one grandmother Elene Sieberg and one brother-in-law, Samuel Davis; one aunt, Shirley Segelhorst; four uncles, Donnie Ray Bird, Willard “Tree” Bush, Roger Reeves and Larry Neemann.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association.
Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
