Duane R. Boelling, age 59, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 8:40 a.m. in VA Medical Center, Marion, IL.
Duane was born on May 21, 1959 in Troy, NY, a son to Charles W. and Josephine Kathern (Shopinski) Boelling. Duane served his country in the United States Marine Corps and in the Army National Guard. He worked as a truck driver for Gilster-Mary Lee for many years and most recently drove for Southern Illinois Motor Express. He was a member of the Steeleville and Sparta American Legions. Duane enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his daughters and grandson.
Survivors include his daughters, Caitlin (Wesley) Westbrook and Beckie Boelling, all of Coutlerville, IL; a grandson, Kyren Duane Boelling; two sisters, Deborah L. (Floyd) Knope of Coulterville, IL and Kimberly Maricle of Oak Lawn, IL; a close cousin, Patrick Schratz of Coulterville, IL; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Ashley Cemetery, Ashley, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
