I celebrate a life well lived for 87 years. I remember Mrs. Matson helping me with my wedding 50 years ago. She helped so many of us with our special day. Her Gift Shop was a special place.

Patricia Ann Matson, age 87, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 12:25 a.m. in Coulterville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coulterville, IL.
Patricia was born on June 27, 1931 in Coulterville, IL, a daughter to Martin and Zella (Wilson) Heinike. On August 8, 1948, she married Forrest Matson at the First Baptist Church, Marissa, IL and he survives. Patricia was owner and operator of Matson’s Gift Shop for 34 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Coulterville, IL. Patricia played the piano at church and loved quilting.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Forrest Matson of Coulterville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mildred Eggemeier and one sister in infancy.
Funeral services will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Coulterville, IL.
