Viola M. Marlow, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior.
Viola was born on October 17, 1929, the daughter of William D. and Hanna E. (Mayer) Schwarz. She had worked at the Pinckneyville Garment Factory before marrying Richard E. Marlow on August 21, 1951 in Pinckneyville, IL. They shared 60 years together before he preceded her in death on April 2, 2012. She was of the Lutheran faith and faithfully attended Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Viola was a loving wife, mother and friend and loved animals, working in her yard and sewing.
Survivors include her son, Vernon Marlow of Pinckneyville, IL; her sister-in-law, Mary Lucille Ferrari of Pinckneyville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Marlow; a sister and brother-in-law, Iona and Cyrus Keller; a brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Norma Schwarz; and a brother-in-law, Paul Dean Ferrari.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Kollmeyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or American Kidney Foundation.
