CHARLESTON, IL – Linda Jane Bush, age 70 of Charleston, Illinois passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Charleston. Her family and friends will host a Memorial Service honoring and celebrating her life on Sunday, January 6, 2019 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Hilltop Skilled Nursing, located at 910 West Polk Street in Charleston. Donations in her honor may be made to Adams Funeral Chapel to assist with final expenses and mailed to 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
Linda was born October 29, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lonnie and Ruby (Wheeler) Bush. She is survived by her children, John Steele and Nancy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Anthony “Tony” Steele and Susan of Charleston, Illinois, Mary Steele of Charleston, South Carolina and Kellie Gottsacker of Parsons, Tennessee. She also has seven grandchildren, Erika, John, Zachary, Faith, Amber, Nathan and Brooke, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Rodriguez and husband Rito of Paris Landing, Tennessee and a brother Hulon Bush of Kentucky. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby and a sister, Carolyn.
Linda was a CNA who cared for the residents of her Hilltop family for 44 years. In addition to being a wonderful caregiver, she loved to sew and quilt and was a grandmother who loved her grandchildren dearly.
