I JUST LEARNED OF ADAM'S DEATH, VICKKI AND DELROY YOU HAVE MY SYMPATHY. I REMEMBER HIM GROWING UP, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN THAT MANY YEARS. YOU HAVE A PIECE OF ADAM IN YOUR GRAND DAUGHTER HUG HER EACH NIGHT AND SAY PRAYERS WITH HER, THEY GROW UP SO FAST.

I'm so very sad to learn of Adam's death. I'll always remember his sweet smile and wonderful sense of humor. God bless you and your family.

Adam Clayton's Obituary

Adam Clayton Reed, age 32, of Casey, IL passed away at 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Casey, IL the result of a train pedestrian accident.  He was born May 10, 1986 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the son of Del Roy Reed and Vicki Lynn (Janney) Reed.

Survivors include his daughter, Gracie Lane Reed of Casey, IL; parents, Del and Vicki Reed of Casey, IL; sister, Jennifer Lynn Reed of Marshall, IL; maternal grandmother, Maxine (Carpenter) Janney of Martinsville, IL; several uncles, aunts, cousins and a multitude of friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Agatha June (Buckner) Reed and maternal grandfather, Ronald Dean Janney.    

Adam enjoyed working outdoors and had jobs including oil field work and logging jobs.  He worked hard, but tended to play harder.  Adam was known for his infectious smile and willingness to help anyone.  He liked to read, watch documentaries, woodworking and snakes.  He was a member of the Island Grove Baptist Church.  Most of all, Adam enjoyed spending time with his daughter.

A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home with Brother Randy Nave officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
