Mary Belle Bodeker, age 74, of Tilden, IL passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 8:08 a.m. in her home.
Mary Belle was born on March 5, 1944 in Potosi, MO, a daughter of Lonnie Ray and Flora Lucille (Hart) Boyet. She married Walter Bodeker on December 22, 1962 in Tilden, IL and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2010 after 47 years of marriage. Mary Belle was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Tilden, IL. She was a lifetime member of the Coulterville V.F.W. Post #6865 Ladies’ Auxilliary, Coulterville, IL. Mary Belle loved bowling on a league at Star Lanes, Sparta, IL, and enjoyed playing bingo and penny slots. Of all the things she loved in life, her family was most important to her and she dearly loved spending time with all of them, especially during the holidays and at family gatherings.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Anderson of Windsor, MO; her son, Terry (Patti) Bodeker of Tilden, IL; her sister, Linda Foster of Coulterville, IL; Mary Belle was also loved by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Tilden, IL with Reverend Paul Hahn officiating. Interment will be in Tilden Cemetery, Tilden, IL.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Tilden, IL.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL has been entrusted with arrangements.
