I have known Delorese long time and her and Jim were some of the nicest people you ever met! I know without a doubt that she is in Heaven with her loved ones and know she is with the love of her life Jim now! I am praying for the family that God would be with them!

Delores 's Obituary

Violet Delores Fisher, age 87, of Tamaroa, IL, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 12:35 a.m. in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Delores was born July 12, 1931 in Tamaroa, IL, a daughter of Otto O. and Velma M. (Lynch) Marlow. She married James J. “Jim” Fisher on October 8, 1949 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2016. Delores had worked as a homemaker and as a secretary for her husband’s business. She was a member of the New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Delores enjoyed doll collecting, cooking, embroidering, and going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy S. (Donald) Miller of Tamaroa, IL; three grandchildren, Jed (Julie) Miller of Pinckneyville, IL, Jon Miller of Tamaroa, IL and Donnie Miller of Tamaroa, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Amani and Nyarai.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Steven Joseph Fisher and James Fisher; two brothers, Clarence Marlow and Clyde Marlow; and two sisters, Alice Lee and Ruby Marlow.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be in Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to at New Hope Community Church or Campbell Cemetery.
