Not sure what to say?

We are sorry for the loss of your mother, Rob. It is always hard to lose a parent. Keith has lost both of his parents. I still have my mother. She turned 92 in February and is in good health. Again, we are sorry for your loss.

Madonna, Kevin, and Family.
So sorry for your loss. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Madonna, Robbie, Kev, Rodney & all...our hearts are broken for you. Madonna you KNOW how much l loved Irene. She was always the most wonderful person to be around from my Goodwill days, to the kitchens at EIU. Loved running into you two out & about & catching up. You ALL will be in our thoughts & prayers. Sincere sympathy...Neil & Kathy Bradford

Condolences to the family on your loss. I will remember her as always friendly and kind.

I am so sorry to hear this. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mom thought the world of her and was the one person she remembered for so long. Madonna would love to get together sometime and share Mom stories. My sympathy for the family.

Robison Family,
Gerri and I were saddened to learn of your mother's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
With sincere sympathy,
David and Gerri Wright

What a wonderful long life your loved one had, Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, and if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May you continue to treasure the loving memories and may they continue to bring joy to your heart.

Irene's Obituary

WESTFIELD, IL – Irene Isabel Robison, age 87 of Westfield, Illinois, entered her Heavenly Home on Sunday, March 10, 2019 while at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.  Her cremated body will be laid to rest at a private graveside service to be held at the Clarksville Baptist Cemetery at a later date.    It is requested that donations in her honor be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.

Irene was born April 13, 1931 in Westfield, Illinois, a daughter of the late Leonard Ralph and Mary Marie (Higgins) Rogers.   Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, three sons, Robbie Robison and wife Sherry of Westfield, Kevin Robison of Mattoon, and Rodney Robison of Westfield; a daughter Madonna Staggs of Westfield; six grandchildren, Ryan Robison and wife Jenny, Michelle Robison Carlen, Derek Robison, Kancy Robison and wife Koyel, Doug Staggs and John Staggs; six great-grandchildren, Brianna Staggs, Alex (A.J.) Staggs, Baylee Scott, Brayden Carlen, Bryce Robison and Taylor Robison; two brothers, John Rogers of Charleston and Marion Rogers of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Bushart and Rosemary Wade.

Irene has been a life-long resident of the Westfield community.  She was a graduate of Westfield High School and a member of the Westfield Baptist Church.  She was employed as a teacher’s aide at Monroe Elementary School in Casey, Illinois; attained her certification and worked as a home health aide; and worked in the food services department at Eastern Illinois University prior to her retirement.

Irene was an avid reader and enjoyed being outdoors.  Many hours were spent tending to her flower gardens which she so enjoyed.  Nothing gave Irene greater joy than being with her family that she dearly loved.  Sundays were especially reserved for family dinners around her dining room table which contained the aromas of favorite family dishes that had been lovingly prepared.  Irene’s family was blessed with her unconditional love and they will always cherish their many wonderful memories of special times shared.
