Ed was a wonderful brother and much loved. He always made me laugh until it hurt. I will truly miss him, but know that he is now free from physical pain and in the presence of Jesus. My prayers are with you, Angie.

Edward Ray Harper, age 61, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, IL.
Ed was born on August 27, 1957 in Chicago, IL, a son to Paul Owen and Relda Mae (Kinder) Harper. He served in the United States Air Force. On July 13, 2004, he married Angela Dawn Coble in Henderson, KY and she survives.
Survivors include his wife of over 14 years, Angela Dawn Harper of DuQuoin, IL; son, Jimmy Harper; step-son, Steven Coble; daughter-in-law, Kayla Starr; brother, Ron (Tammy) Harper of Evansville, IN; four sisters, Diana (Kevin) Brock of Otwell, IN, Wanda Miedema of Elkhart, IN, Donna (Wayne) Sankey of Winston Salem, NC, and Debbie (Leland) Holland of Ashville, NC; grandchildren, Londyn Coble and Samantha Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with Ed's wishes the will be no services.
Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL has been entrusted with arrangements.
