Not sure what to say?

Such a wonderful Aunt ,we will always carry her memories with us when she first met my husband Stewart we were at a family reunion and Stew walked up to her and told her he was homeless and he was hungry, she told him to grab a plate and get him some food no one would be the wiser ! This is how big this womans heart was...and I am positive if it had been real she would have never said a thing. We all laughed about it for days we will miss her so much. We are so sorry we have not been visiting...

Beautiful soul. Our deepest condolences. Aunt Clara will be missed.

So sad to read of Clara's passing. Clara lived across the street from my Great Aunt Mary and Uncle Pat in Charleston for many years. Clara was such a dear lady. I remember her beautiful flower arrangements, as well as her lemon meringue pie. Clara will be missed. Such true words written in her tribute, if you were friends, you were family.

She was the kindest grandma I ever knew. She loves me dearly.

Clara was a marvelous cook and truly enjoyed her working years at EIU.  Her hands were never idle and if she wasn’t in the kitchen she could be found in her flower or vegetable garden or delving into family history.  Clara was a photo buff and the family historian and keeper of the genealogy records.  A special closet was built just to house her many photo albums, binders and notebooks.  Clara’s life was truly lived and centered round her family – they were her one true joy.  In the words of her family - “Clara was a treasured matriarch of our family.  Once you were in her heart – blood or not – you were family forever”.  Those, who were the recipients of Clara’s unconditional love, will always treasure their many wonderful memories of special times shared.
