Sarrah Cassie Hall, 84, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 3:52 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Greenup, IL, the daughter of Raymond Rex Closson and Opal Eloise Scales Closson. On April 29, 1953, she married Charles Floyd Hall in Bradbury, IL. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2000.
Survivors include her sons, Denzil Hall (Shawnee) of Yucca Valley, CA and David Hall (Mindy Mclain) of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Polly Miller (Ron) of Tulsa, OK, Cheryl Hall of Martinsville, IL and Nadine McMann (Steve) of Ramsey, IL; daughter in law, Leah Marie Hall of Giddings, TX; brothers, Ervin Closson (Janet) of Flora, IL and Jim Closson (Barbara) of Hisperia, CA; sisters, Ann Emmons (Lee) of Lancaster, IL and Pam Tharp (Bob) of Hisperia, CA; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, sons, Wesley Hall and Floyd Eugene Hall; granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Schwab; great grandson, Brenden Avery; brother, William Closson; and sisters, Hazel Brown and Aline Southard.
Cassie spent her adult life as a homemaker and attended the First Christian Church in Toledo, IL. She loved quilting, reading and crocheting, along with working crossword puzzles, cooking and spending times with her grandkids.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Burial will follow in Salem Church Cemetery, Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
