We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know this wonderful man and his family over the past couple of years. We will never forget the moments that were shared. Richard Dale's Obituary

Richard Dale Bumann, age 82, of Swanwick, IL, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 9:34 p.m. in his home.

Richard was born on October 1, 1936 a son of Kenneth L. and Mae B. (Robinson) Bumann. He married Nellie Ann Singleton on December 18, 1965 in St. Louis, MO and she survives. Richard first worked as a draftsman for the St. Louis Police Department, and later as a coal miner for Zeigler Coal Company until he retired. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Richard was of the Christian faith, a member of the U.M.W.A. and a member of the Masons. He loved fishing and bowling, but especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nellie Bumann of Swanwick, IL; one son, Kevin Bumann of St. Libory, IL; two daughters, Kelly Brookman of Red Bud, IL and Kimberly Thornton of Coulterville, IL; two sisters, Marilyn Ogilvie of Swanwick, IL and Sharon (Tom) Krapf of Edwardsville, IL; nine grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Adam, Alex, Nolan, Maegan, Anna, Aaron and Emily; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Helen Bumann; and a brother-in-law, Lonnie Ogilvie.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Swanick Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
