I'm so sad to hear this! Many great memories at church camp. Dottie wasn't voted "Miss Fruits of the Spirit" for nothing. She exemplified them and will be missed.

My sincere condolences and prayers for Dottie and her family. You will be missed so much. I have so many wonderful memories of your friendship and sense of humor, and kindness.

Dorothy "Dottie" Kay's Obituary

Dorothy “Dottie” Kay Robb Smith, age 57, of St. Louis, MO, died the morning of Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in a car accident. 

Dottie was born on August 31, 1961 in Pinckneyville, IL, and raised on a farm, a daughter to the late Sam Robb (Catherine Robb) and the late Phyllis Robb.  She was a compassionate nurse and was active in her church and enjoyed volunteering and helping people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arnold, MO. Dottie was outgoing and friendly, never met a stranger, and enjoyed Christian and Country music. She loved her Lord, the church, her friends and her family and will be greatly missed by them.

Survivors include her daughter, Moriah Tageson and her boyfriend, Cory Schollman of Arnold, Mo; brother, Gary L. Robb and girlfriend, Kathy Williams of St. Charles, MO; and sister, Sharon R. Allen of Charlotte, NC; stepmother, Catherine Robb of Coulterville, IL; four nieces and nephews, Sarah and Samuel Robb of St. Charles, MO and Karen and Robert Allen of Charlotte, NC; an aunt, Lauris Dickey of Marissa, IL; cousins, Donald and Connie Dickey of Marissa, IL, Bill and Judy Dickey of St. Libory, IL, Larry and Peggy Dickey of Marissa, IL, and Roy Dean and Kim Dickey of Marissa, IL; three stepbrothers, Rick and Jane Bumann of Couterville, IL, David Bumann of St. Libory, IL, and Larry and Tracy Bumann of Coulterville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, Arnold, MO on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon with funeral following at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Brad Bean officiating. Immediately following the service, interment and graveside service will be in Swanwick Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL with Reverend Jim Stark officiating at the graveside service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Grandcote Reformed Presbyterian Church, Coulterville, Illinois or Swanwick Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, Illinois.
