Please accept my sincere condolences. I hadn't seen Libby in many years. I hope that your memories sustain you at this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Libby's family and friends. She was working hard to make positive changes which was showing through her work on Friday nights at RU. Libby left this world too soon but she is at peace now. Her friends at RU miss her, she will not be forgotten. May God bless you all.

Libby you always the fresh face in the crowd. I always called you Funny face my friend. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Love you girl Rest in peace until we meet again.

I had the privilege of knowing Libby for many years. We went to school together and then went our separate ways but was able to connect again about 2 years ago.
I just cant believe your gone my friend.
Im so blessed to have some wonderful memories with you. ❤

Libby Dawn's Obituary

Libby Dawn (Davis) Lycan, age 53, of Danville, IL formerly of Westfield, IL passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home in Danville, IL.  She was born August 26, 1965 in Charleston, IL, the daughter of Rex Allen Davis and Janice Elaine Gilbert Davis.  On March 12, 1999 she married Christopher Allen Lycan in Charleston, IL.

Survivors include her parents, Rex and Elaine Davis of Fairmount, IL; husband, Chris Lycan of Marshall, IL; children, Tiffany Evans of Westfield, IL; Victoria Lycan of Marshall, IL and Elishah Lycan of Marshall, IL; granddaughter, MaKinley Evans; brother, Craig Davis (Reyna) of New Richmond, IN; sister, Jennifer Woodard (Bob) of Webb City, MO; brother, David Davis (Amber) of St. Joseph, IL and nephews and nieces.

Libby was a 1983 graduate of Jamaica High School, Sidell, IL.  In 1983 she graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor degree in Accounting.  Libby previously worked for Trailmobile in Charleston, IL and in private daycare.  She enjoyed making jewelry, boating, fishing, and reading non-fiction books.  Libby truly enjoyed Bible study and dearly loved her little dog. 

Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL at a later date.
