Cornelia Sue Strange Feltner, age 75, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:21 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL. She was born April 12, 1944 in Effingham, IL the daughter of Randall H. Biggs and Gertrude Mae “Gertie” Lane Biggs. On June 30, 1989 she married Joseph W. “Flea” Feltner; he passed away on December 25, 2011.
Survivors include her sons, Steven Strange (Judy) of Greenup, IL and Raymond Strange of Casey, IL; daughter, Linda Kay Strange Beabout of Mattoon, IL; grandson, John Beabout (Viki) of Ashmore, IL, Cody Strange (Britaney) of Newton, IL; Lindsay Strange of Casey, IL and Megan Strange of Greenup, IL; great grandchildren, Theron Beabout, Rogue Beabout, Myles Strange and Mac Strange; stepdaughters, Jody Robinson (Jim) of Toledo, IL and Trina Paul (Brian) of Greenup, IL; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Joseph W. “Flea” Feltner and Charles Thomas Strange; brother, Randall Biggs, sister, Barbara Applegate; infant sister, Sheral Biggs and son in law, Lyle Fenton Beabout.
Sue was retired after working 25 years for Ettlebrick Shoe Factory in Casey, IL. She also waitressed in Casey and worked in food service at Heartland Manor in Casey, IL. She was a member of Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Casey VFW Auxiliary and Casey Moose Lodge. Sue enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking and flowers. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family. She was affectionately called “Grandma Corny” or “Aunt Corny” by her family.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Feltner Cemetery, rural Greenup, IL at a later date.
