Larry, You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Ann. She was a dear friend of mine during our high school years. I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity to know her as a friend at Martinsville High School and over the years. Annetta “Ann” Marie Wolfe Nave, age 77, of rural Martinsville, IL passed away on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2019 at Burnsides Community Health Care, Marshall, IL with her loving family by her side. She was born July 1, 1941 in Paris, IL, the daughter of Harold Ethelbert Wolfe and Joy Fern Kurts Wolfe. On January 30, 1962 she married Larry Edward Nave in Martinsville, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry Nave of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Jeanette Seaney of Martinsville, IL and Janet Lindley of West Union, IL; grandchildren, Samantha Lofton (William), Abby Seaney, Jennifer Seaney, Jared Lindley, Shelby Lindley, Christy Morgan (Ben); great grandchildren, Emerald Lofton, Annlsey Tedesco, Adley Seaney and Alec Morgan; brother in law; Jerry Nave (Judie), of Marshall, IL; sisters in law, Sandra Nave (Bob Glenn) of Greenup, IL and Rusty Nave of Marshall, IL; son in law, Steve Lindley of West York, IL and her Pitbull, Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Emerald Ann Wolfe brother in law, Myron Nave.
Ann was a 1959 graduate of Martinsville High School and a graduate of Terre Haute Business College. Ann and Larry enjoyed spending their lives raising their family and farming south of Martinsville, IL. She was a hard worker and would drive trucks, combines and tractors doing whatever needed done on the farm. Ann drove a school bus for Martinsville School District for over 40 years where she accumulated many bonus children. She was requested by many of the Martinsville athletic teams as their bus driver; she was considered their “Good Luck Charm.” Ann and Larry each owned a pulling tractor and traveled to many competitions with their tractors. Ann worked on the Election Board, Martinsville Ag Fair Arts Hall, was a member of SDC (Studebaker Drivers Club), enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, crocheting, Mickey Mouse and wearing red (especially glasses). Ann attended St. Paul Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Randy Nave and Brother Art Orndorff officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service on Saturday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
