Cary I. Knoop

Professor Knoop was a wonderful and motivational teacher, a talented artist, and just a very nice, caring person. I thoroughly enjoyed and learned much in his Sculpture I - IV classes at EIU in the '70s. He will be missed and remembered fondly by many.

Please accept my sincere condolences. From meals around the table at the house to warm greetings and hugs at Rocs, Cary was the consummate host, wit, and never shied away from calling out folly. He loved his family fiercely and proudly.
I was honored to know Cary and Marge. Grace and peace surround you all as you celebrate his incredible life.

The knoops lived down the street from us for a long time. I have many fond memories of Mr. Knoop and of his family. Having grown up with a father who also taught in the Art Dept, we all knew each other.
It is such a difficult time in our lives when we are losing our beloved parents. Please accept my prayers, hugs and blessings as your family makes, once again, this very diffuse journey.

I am so sorry to hear this. I knew Cary and Marg from junior high on and my parents were close friends of theirs, traveling together for many years. Marsha, I'm sending you my best.

Im so sorry to hear of Carys passing, my condolences to his Family.

Uncle Cary was always so positive, loving, creative, a lover of animals, a wonderful artist, and fun! He had a great laugh and smile. I have many fond memories of him and am sorry I can't be there for the memorial.
