I am a old friend of Walter from San Bernardino. We didnt keep in touch as much as we should of after he left Cali. But he was considered Family to my kids and myself. He was a very kind person. always cheerful. I pray for those he left behind. My hope is that he is with the Lord Jesus and we will see him when we get there. Blessing to his family. Walter's Obituary

Walter Bryant, age 54, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 6:04 a.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.

Walter was born on February 12, 1965 in Tulsa, OK, a son to William and Jean (Turner) Bryant. He had worked as a delivery driver in the auto parts industry. Walter enjoyed collecting electric trains and loved listening to classic rock music.

Survivors include his six siblings, Donna Marie (Tom) Rosaiti of Las Cruces, NM, Carla Jean (Bill) Bird of Pinckneyville, IL, Patricia Lynn (Scott) Hutchings of Pinckneyville, IL, Ramona Lisa Bryant of Murfreesboro, TN, Travis Dean Bryant of DuQuoin, IL, and Brandon Dwight (Selena) Bryant of DuQuoin, IL; his former wife, Jennifer Smith of Highland, CA; four stepdaughters, Derdra Yzaguirre, Darlene Yzaguirre, Danielle Yzaguirre and Demi Yzaguirre, all of Highland, CA; countless nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nora Gayle Bryant; a brother, William Dwayne Bryant; and three nephews, Cullen Bryant, Jeremy McDaniel, and Todd Bryant.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of America.
