Judy was born on September 13, 1940 in Arcola, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy “Dottie” (Seaman) Huddlestun. She married August Wilson on July 25, 1969 and they would have soon celebrated 50 years of marriage and friendship. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a wonderful and loving family which includes two children, Kevin Wilson and his friend Tricia Albert of Ashmore, Illinois and Cris Lane and her husband Troy of Windsor, Illinois; two granddaughters, Stephanie Poland and husband Tyler of Mattoon, Illinois and Rachel Cavazos and husband Jaime of Sullivan, Illinois; two great-grandsons, Warren Poland and Alex Cavazos; her sister-in-law, Pam Huddlestun of rural Charleston; several nieces and nephews; and lastly her canine best friend, Jenny. Judy was preceded by her brother, Lynne Huddlestun on April 26 of this year.
Following her graduation from Charleston High School, Judy went to work for Collegiate Cap and Gown in Champaign. She later was employed by Charleston National Bank in Charleston and George Corrie Accounting in Oblong, Illinois. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Nancy’s Lettering.
As a young adult, Judy was baptized into the Walnut Grove Christian Church family. Her membership still remains there but she has attended Salisbury Church with her husband and family throughout her married life. She held membership with the Charleston Sopha C Chapter of Eastern Star and placed her membership with the Elect Lady Chapter 40 in Mattoon when the two combined.
Judy loved the country life, growing a garden, canning and baking and being a 4-H mom. She enjoyed sales and going with Augie in their search for antiques, watching the hummingbirds outside her kitchen window, and the family dogs. But her greatest treasures were her family. Augie was the love of her life and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her an abundance of blessings and joys. Judy’s family and friends have many fond memories to share and to cherish.
