Lyndon Eugene's Obituary

Lyndon Eugene Prest, age 75, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 6:20 p.m. in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.

Lyndon was born on February 13, 1944 in rural Coulterville, IL, the son of Wyman W. and Irene E. (Webster) Prest. He married Donna J. Lange on August 13, 1965 in the Tilden Presbyterian Church, Tilden, IL and she survives. Lyndon served in the United States Army National Guard for six years and was a member of the Tilden Presbyterian Church, Tilden, IL. He was a lifelong farmer, which he was very passionate about, and also worked for Weir Chevrolet, Red Bud, IL for the last nine years.

Survivors include his wife, Donna J. Prest of Coulterville, IL; two sons, Shannon L. Prest of Coulterville, IL and Brian L. (Debbie) Prest of Lively Grove, IL; a sister, Peggy Baker of New Athens, IL; a sister-in-law, Monte Lange of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren, Blake Shelton, Lynlee (Lance) Glodo, Sydnie Prest, Landon Prest, Bryleigh Prest, Brittany (William) Segelhorst, and Brandon (Christa) Leonhardt; seven great-grandchildren, Braxton, Quyn, Lynox, Oaklyn, Remi, Paisley and Meigha; and two special nephews, Aaron Lange and Zach Lange.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Leslie Lyn Shelton; three brothers-in-law, Larry Lange, Mark Lange and William Baker; and one nephew, Eric Lange.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Dennis Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in the Tilden Cemetery, Tilden, IL.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
