Anna Jean Schratz, age 77, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 8:55 p.m. in Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL.
Anna was born on February 9, 1942 in Mendota, IL, a daughter of Louis and Anna (Smally) Shopinski. On April 16, 1966, Anna married Henry F. Schratz at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Sparta, IL and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1993. She was a homemaker and was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Coulterville, IL, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #6865 of Coulterville, IL.
Survivors include her son, Patrick Schratz of Coulterville, IL; her daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Shevlin of Sparta, IL; four brothers, Barney Shopinski of Ashley, IL, Louis “Jr” (Cynthia) Shopinski of Ashley, IL, Joey (Debbie) Shopinski of Ashley, IL and David (Mary Lou) Shopinski of Ashley, IL; two grandchildren, Brandi (Dean) Gross of Chester, IL and Brittany Shevlin (fiancée, Eric Geralds) of Marissa, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Gavin Gross of Chester, IL and Carter Geralds of Marissa, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Leonard Shopinski; and one sister, Josephine Boling.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Vincent Mukasa officiating. Interment will be at Coulterville City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
