Kevin J. 's Obituary

Kevin J. Vuichard, age 61, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 1:51 p.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Kevin was born on August 28, 1957 in Red Bud, IL, a son to John C. and Barbara C. (Lowe) Vuichard. On June 25, 1983, he married Celeste Levery at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Evansville, IL and she survives. Kevin had worked as a security therapy aide at Chester Mental Health Center for 20 years and a was former member of the AFSCME Local 424, Chester, IL where he had served as president and treasurer. He was of the Christian faith and loved working on classic cars and attending car shows. Kevin was also an avid Cardinal baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Celeste Vuichard of Coulterville, IL; two sons, Aaron Vuichard and Austin Vuichard, both of Coulterville, IL; a sister, Denise Vuichard of Ellis Grove, IL; other stepbrothers and stepsisters; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Sue Levery of Evansville, IL; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, Alvin Grab; a half-brother, Gary Grab; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Les and Elaine Levery.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
