Jerry E. Lynch, age 74, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 3:53 a.m. at his brother’s home.
Jerry was born on November 25, 1944 in Detroit, MI, a son to Dorsey and Laura (Scholebo) Lynch. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, Air Force and Navy. Jerry had worked as a mapper for the United States Government and later as a caregiver for his brother, Mike. He attended Roe’s Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed being at home and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his three brothers, Don (Mary) Lynch of Howell, MI, John Lynch of Pinckneyville, IL, and Jack (Kathy) Lynch of Northwood, OH; a sister, Shirley (Sam) Loyd of Pinckneyville, IL; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers, Bill Lynch, Weaver Lynch, Dorsey Lynch, Jim Lynch, Bobby Lynch, Tim Lynch and Michael Lynch.
Funeral services will be held at Roe’s Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Kenneth Owen and Pastor Lee Valerius officiating. Interment will be in Holts Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning at Roe’s Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Carmi Baptist Children’s Home.
