Tim's Obituary

Tim Lee, age 60, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 7:39 p.m. at his home with his family by his side.

Tim was born on May 7, 1959, in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL, a son of Ronnie and Kitten (Hutchings) Lee.  He married Heather Ramsey on February 14, 1999 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL and she survives.  Tim was of the Christian faith and worked as a laborer at B & D Machine Works, Inc., Marissa, IL for over 15 years.  He enjoyed woodworking, metal working, carpentry and hunting.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Tim’s family lovingly knew him to be “as strong as an ox and as stubborn as a mule.”

Survivors include his wife, Heather Lee of Pinckneyville, IL; his parents, Ronnie and Kitten Lee of Tamaroa, IL; two sons, Daniel (Emily) Higgerson of Dyersburg, TN and Christopher (Kimberly) Higgerson of Wadsworth, IL; two grandsons, Nolan Timothy and Parker Joseph; one sister, Janie (Rick) Meier of Fort Myers, FL; two brothers, Mike (Heather) Lee of Tamaroa, IL and Mark Lee (Jade Warden) of Tamaroa, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, George and Eva Lee and Virgil and Hazel Hutchings; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and one niece, Holli (Sroka) Bolinski.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Bean, Pastor Jon Birkner and Brother Rob Mathis officiating.  Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Nolan Timothy and Parker Joseph’s College Education Fund.
