Dad,
I have so many things I want say to you but I'll keep it short so I'll start with saying, I'm going to miss you so much and I love you! I wish I had known and could of been there you when you needed me the most. I am so thankful you had Darlene by your side, helping you every step of the way! I wish we had more time together and you were able to see your grandkids grow, but I'm pleased your not sick anymore. I will see again, and I love you so much dad! Rest peacefully!

Louis you know we were great friends me you're my brother might not be blood but sometimes your friend are your closest family and that you and Darleen are I'm going to miss you so much fly high brother we'll meet again someday just that today love you Lou

Louis O.'s Obituary

Louis O. Snider, age 55, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 11:03 a.m. in his home.

Louis was born on July 25, 1964 in New Albany, MS, a son to Thomas W. and Shelia G. (Crain) Snider. He had worked in the steel industry for American Steel and other companies. Louis was of the Baptist faith and was a happy man who was always laughing and enjoyed making other people laugh. Louis was a good father, a giving person and was always doing things for others. He loved being outdoors, binge watching TV, scrapping metal and watching sci-fi movies.

Survivors include his mother, Sheila Foster of Granite City, IL; his life partner, Darlene Warfield of Granite City, IL; one daughter, Julia (Brandon) Sayre of St. Charles, MO; one sister, Tomacena Turner of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Martin (Debbie) Snider of Granite City, IL and Billie Gaede of Granite City, IL; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service immediately following at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL with Pastor Lee Valerius officiating.
