I was executive producer at Mutual Broadcasting and assisted Elmer with his grocery list program and looked forward to working with him. I think of him often and had no idea he has such a storied history. I am honored.

I was raised in an old farmhouse on Archer Rd outside Wright City. There was one room in that house that was locked for the 12 years that I resided there. It housed military memorabilia belonging to June. My grandfather, Tom Lee, rented it to June in the 50's. I do not know what happened to everything. I hope June retrieved it sometime in the 70's when I was in SE Asia. I had not thought of him until I saw his article in the Warren County Record recently. I wish I had know he was in...

Thank you for such a beautiful and loving story about Elmer. We pass by human beings everyday and never know how wonderfully God has made them. What a blessing for you! Sadly, we did not know Elmer, but we wish we had.
