I wish I could have spent more time with Mary but the time that I did, I found that she was an ambassador for Christ. She was the sweetest person I have ever known.

Mary was a beautiful person. I enjoyed sharing classes with her at EIU and visiting her when she lived in Oakland on the square. I enjoyed having the girls in my Girl Scout troop and spending time with her. I remember one particular interesting day. We had went to the zoo in St. Louis with school and as a troop. I got to know Mary when we were on an Emmaus Weekend - she was the music person - I made a bag for her with music symbols on it. Mary was such a wonderful Christian woman - you could see how she praised God through her music.
I loved hearing Mary and her daughter sing together. Mary has spread her love to all she saw, her family, her friends and anyone she met. She has been taken from us too soon.

I remember Mary as always willing to lend a helping hand. She had a big heart and a beautiful voice.
