Not sure what to say?

Ken was the life of the party when he and his brothers got together.
I am grateful for all the laughs, songs, and stories that I heard as a tag-along at their brother reunions.
I am lucky to have had him for an uncle.

We were both Profs at EIU and occasionally played music together as a hobby, usually with Jerry Griffiths in the early 1970's.

As my godfather, Uncle Ken was faithful to his family and to me.

Dear Mike, Still remember our fun times in DC. Had a long holiday talk with your mom today. She told me about your dad. So sorry. My thoughts are with you. Much love Margy Doyle

I grew up knowing Ken through being friend of my parents. Went flying in his plane a couple times. The countless years of cutting down dead trees on his property for firewood. He gave the eulogy at my fathers funeral. Gonna miss you buddy. Love ya slick!!

Alluring Elegance Bouquet

Ken Hadwiger was one of the finest colleagues I've ever known in my 27 years of teaching at the college level. I had the pleasure of being one of his colleagues from 1989 until he retired from Eastern Illinois University. Ken was always kind and helpful, and when I was a brand new instructor in the Communication department, he was especially helpful in learning (for me) how to navigate the waters of higher education and the academic world. Ken will be missed, and to his family, my thoughts...

Only knew Ken a short time but enjoyed his stories of his travel and his life accomplishments. He loved his boys and grandkids. A very sweet person and will be missed. May God Bless his family.

Leader, scholar, but most of all: a true friend. My dad, Al Rundle, treasured his friendship with Ken.. Their times together included many things - service to others, good teaching, and lots of laughter. Since hearing of his passing, I've imagined the two of them reunited in God's kingdom -- sharing more good times and laughter. Patrick & I, along with the whole Rundle family send our condolences to his family and close friends.
