Not sure what to say?

Jim and I were coauthors on several books. I just learned of his passing. We had a wonderful working relationship.

I had the privilege and pleasure of doing graduate study under Dr. Murray in the 80's and 90's at GSU. I always admired his professionalism, experience, and wisdom. He was so very kind and patient, able to challenge students in a supportive manner. I am saddened by the loss for his family and friends but grateful for the opportunity to have known him.

Jim was a gentle, kind soul. We were blessed to have him in our lives. He left a lasting legacy with numerous impressive accomplishments. His students are well equipped with a lifetime of knowledge. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. We pray for his eternal rest with our heavenly Father and Mother.

We saddened by our sweet neighbors departure but cherish the times we were able to leisurely chat and get to know him better. As the first neighbor we met before moving in, we felt at peace know he would be next to our family for years to come. We are thankful he is resting in peace, sending lots of love to friends and family.

On behalf of the Office of Campus Ministry at King's College, I write to express our sympathies to Jim's family and friends, and to assure you of our prayers. Jim will be prayed for at our monthly Mass for Deceased Alumni. May he rest in peace!

So sorry to hear of Jimmys passing. Although I had not seen him in many years, I will always remember his soft and calming voice and his Irish humor. Some of my most cherished memories were of being a child sitting on Murrays back porch when Jimmy was home on vacation and listening to stories of his travels. Godspeed, Jimmy! ❤
