It was a true blessing to have you as my Uncle. The family will mourn your passing but we will also celebrate your life. The memories we have will make us smile when we think about you. The love we shared will give us strength to get through this. Love you dearly, Uncle Lester, you will truly be missed.

Lester Armstrong, Sr., 83, of Osceola died January 23, 2021 at his home in Osceola. He was a retired factory worker and a member of Tabernacle MB Church in Osceola. Mr. Armstrong was born September 2, 1937 in Turrel to William Armstrong, Sr.and Ethel Mae Boyce Armtrong Beech. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife Prince Armstrong of Osceola, four sons Lester Armstrong, JR. of St Cloud, MN, Melvin Armstrong of Bloomington, IL, David Humble of Pittsburgh, PA and Bobby Armstrong of West Helena, three daughters Gail Armstrong of South Carolina, Pamela Cannon of Jonesboro and Carla Stewart of Osceola, three sisters Almaree Porter of Flint, MI, Arelilion Johnson of Indianapolis, IN and Thelma Johnson of Bloomington, IL, 22 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Tabernacle MB Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor ML Smith officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
