Sue Wood

I just found out about Sue’s passing by reading the UNCW fall magazine. She was a wonderful teacher, person, and friend. She helped guide me, as a young teacher, in a kind and gentle way. I remember her fondly and have not forgotten the time I spent learning from her. When my daughter was born two months prematurely, she was on-call for anything we needed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I just found out that she passed away through an UNCW Alumn post. One of the best teachers I have ever had. She was my Social Studies teacher at DC Virgo and an incredible teacher. I know she will be missed by many.

Dan and I were so sorry to see this news. Sue was a mainstay of the UU congregation all these years and such a fine, thoughtful person. Karen Gottovi

Dear Don and MeganSue’s gentle and soft spoken ways belie the powerhouse she truly was. Her dedication to family, friends, students, and strangers was extraordinary. I am sorry for your loss, as I know she will be missed by many. I’m glad to have had the blessing of crossing her path and being neighbors. Please know we are here to help in the days ahead if needed.

I am so sad to hear of Sue’s passing. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She will be deeply missed by anyone who had the good fortune to know her. Don and Megan, I am sending you much love.

Don, I will be out of the country for her service but my thoughts and prayers will be with you and the family. Sue was a one of a kind lady and someone who had my full respect. What she did at the Cupboard went well beyond what anyone could expect. She will be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

Don I pray God will give you and Megan rest knowing Sue is at peace now. Our thoughts are with you. May your loving memory of her give you comfort.
