To Scott, David and the Ullery family I send my deepest sympathies. Bill was a schoolmate, swimming teammate and friend to me. He is clear in my memory and will always be. A unique guy whom I equally enjoyed and admired.

I will miss Bill. He was a good man, sweet and pleasant to be around. His was a gentle spirit. He was brave, and complained very little about the terrible disease which curtailed his activity and seemed so unfairly dealt him. His intellect was exceptional, a trait common to the Ullery family, and I admired him for his contributions in his field. Peace to his memory.

My deep condolences to your family. Professor Ullery was my algebra teacher when I was a GTA at Auburn, around 1997-1998. I remember only good things about his teaching, and I could feel how he cared about each of his students.

To the Ullery family: I was shocked and saddened to learn of Bill's death and am so sorry for your loss. I remember him as a calm and bright person. He and my brother, Kent Markle, both left this world too soon.
