I used to work for Danny in the adjustment office at the K-Mart Dist. Ctr. We had a lot of fun and crazy times working with Danny! I was from Columbia City and since our school mascot was the Eagle, Danny always called me "Little Eagle". When I left K-Mart for another job, Danny had a cake decorated with a large maroon and gold eagle on it that said "Good Luck Little Eagle" That cake made me feel very special and eventually led to my own interest in cake decorating. Danny was a kind and generous Christian man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you .

Dan was my supervisor for several years at the distribution center. He was a wonderful boss - caring, understanding, and fair. He would keep us entertained daily with his great sense of humor. I feel fortunate to have known such a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dan Beer informed me of the passing of "Uncle Danny." I think he was everybody's uncle. I crossed paths with him at Kmart each evening as I was reporting in and he was trying to leave. We became fast friends. He was one of the sweetest, kindest, funniest people I ever knew. I think every day of his life was spent tyring to do something good for somebody. Each time I saw him in public, he hugged me like only Danny could. When my dad passed in 1995, Danny caught it in the newspaper and sent me the kindest card. This is a tremendous loss for the world. I will miss him greatly. God bless you, Danny.

I worked with Danny at KMart Dist. Ctr. a long time ago. He was a great kid, and always a joy to be around. Sorry to hear of his death.

I first met Danny was he was umpiring little league games in Ossian. He was so patient and kind to the ballplayers, and always took the time to explain the rules to them. My son Brian was glad when Danny was "behind home plate"
Danny like to stop by the Ossian Post Office to tease me and my co-workers. He always called me a different name. One time I was "Penelope" and another time, he called me "Esmerelda" He was such a joy to be around.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
