Barbra Carqueville Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 24, 2016.
Barbra Ann Carqueville passed away near her home in Ogden, Utah on Friday, January 22nd, 2016. She finally found peace after a lifelong struggle with mental illness. She will be missed terribly by her friends and family and remembered as the bright, spirited, strong, loving, thoughtful, talented, generous, smart and loyal person that she was. She was a true gift on Earth and has blessed the lives of all of us who knew her. She was born in Hinsdale, IL and grew up in St. Charles, IL. Active in church, choir and soccer, she worked hard and excelled both in and out of school. She loved music and frequented concerts with friends. She graduated from St. Charles East High School (2002) and graduated with high honors from DePaul University (2006). She then went on to earn her Masters in Education. She was a dedicated teacher and found true joy in teaching her students. She married Ryan Howa on August 2nd, 2014 surrounded by friends and family. She said that it was the best day of her life. She was fortunate to have traveled all over the world and loved making jewelry and spending time outdoors hiking, rock hounding and skydiving. She is survived by Ryan Howa (husband), Don and Teresa Carqueville (parents), Harold and Barbara Williams (grandparents), Christine Carqueville Oryhan (sister), Jeff Carqueville (brother), Daniel Carqueville (brother) and her 2 dogs, Junior and Marley. I will always remember Mrs Carqueville as one if my favorite Math teachers. Although it took sowm time for us to figure eachother out because she was a fairly new teacher, she was still great at what she did and she did not play. She meant business when it came to dicipling the class and helping us to learn the material as best she could. She did a great job at that and no one could ever take that away from her. She had the prettiest smile and the most bubbly personality. I could tell she was very kind soft hearted. She did not like to yell at all. She also was filled with humor making us laugh at certain moments. And if im remembering correctly, I remeber her saying something about sky diving. Lord knkws I would have been scared to death but she made it look and sound soooo cool. She wasnt afraid to live her life the way she wanted which was very adverturous. She was drivin, she was a beautiful woman and very intelligent and I looked up to her. Im gonan miss you Mrs Carquaville. Rest well To Mrs Carquaville’s family, you have my deepest condolences

I will always remember dining with Barbra and friends, in Las Vegas. There was a string quartet playing near us and Barbra stood up and started singing to their music. I was amazed at her beautiful voice and passion for singing. I am saddened to hear of her passing...She will be missed

Barbra held an amazing place for many of us. She was always so full of life, and always so willing to help any of her 'kids' who needed advice, a listening ear or some time-out space. It is a sad day for all of us to hear the news. Love to Ryan during these tough times!

Barbra,
We are all so lucky to have learned from you. Through your teaching, your song, and your absolute ability to love life. You friends, family and students are at a complete loss of understanding- because you were loved so very much. My heart and my prayers go to Don and Theresa, Jeff, Dan and Christine. I can't imagine the pain you must feel. I wish so much that I could hug you all right now.
