William Wesley Carmichael

WILLIAM WESLEY "BILL" CARMICHAEL, 71, of Brownsburg, IN passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Bill was born in Bedford, IN on December 14, 1951 and was the son of Mary Frances (McSoley) Carmichael and William Edwards Carmichael. Bill attended Ben Davis High School where he was involved in DeMolay and the gymnastics team. Bill went on to obtain his B.S. and M.B.A. at Indiana University. Bill began his extensive Information Technology career at McDonnell Douglas and continued it in the healthcare field where he worked at Toledo Hospital, Columbus Regional Hospital, Baylor University Medical Center, and Eskenazi Health. Bill was also a consultant for Information Resource Associates for many years.

Bill's most cherished time was spent with his family. Bill was very proud to attend racing, football, cheer, dance, gymnastics, soccer, and triathlon activities with his children and grandchildren. Bill loved birdwatching and gardening in his backyard with his wife. He enjoyed watching IU football and basketball, and Indianapolis Colts football. In addition to that, Bill had an incredible sense of humor, which made him so fun to be around.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Carmichael; Children: Kris (Kent) Euler, Randee (Brad)Ottinger-Bryan, Larry (Brittney) Stefanski, Sarra (Charlie)Burnham, Jessica (Jeff) Pitzen, and Michael Stefanski; Grandchildren: Brady (Shelby), Zach (Megan), Tray(Courtney), Haylee(Matt), Paige(Lucas), Megan(Rebecca), Cameron, Peyton, Dominic, Nicole, Quinnton, Gabriel, Madison, Liam, Lucas, Ryley, Anthony, Kellen, Makenzie and Oliver ; Great-GrandChildren: Ryder, Oaklynn; Siblings: James (Susan) Carmichael and Cathi (Don) Harmon. Bill also had several special nieces and nephews.

A service will be held for family and friends at Calvary United Methodist Church, 575 W. Northfield Dr. Brownsburg, IN 46112 on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 12pm for a visitation with a service immediately following at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Calvary United Methodist Church or in Bill's name to the charity of your choice.
