Gayleen and Family: I am shocked at this news about Chris. I am a long time friend / customer. Chris has been my go to man since his first shop.I would check on him from time to time even if my truck was ok. I enjoyed his knowledge and wisdom. I brought him some tomatoes and we talked about religion and faith. I know he knew his savior. He spoke of Gayleens strong faith, he loved her. I will miss you my friend.

Gayleen & family: We just heard about this within the hour. Gary & Chris were good friends back in the day, their paths crossed in their youth when they were running in the same circle, later did a lot of car racing together. Wtihin the past 15 years became reacquainted when Gary sold him car parts thru Kragen - and considered him to be 'our' mechanic. They even commiserated as they were both insulin dependent and shared the 'if we had known then what we know now' stories. Had we heard,in time, we would have been at the service. Chris was one of the few from the 'old days' that Gary considered a friend, and often dropped by the shop when in Lodi to visit. He will be missed. I am so sorry to here about Chris. My birthday is one day before his (4/22/49)and that fact kept us in touch for the years that I lived in Lodi. My heart goes out to you all. Chris was one of those guys that always had a smile on his face. He was a great mechanic and a wonderful character. Chris was a very kind gentleman and a hard worker. We are all going to miss him very much.

In my minds eye, I can see a very tall Chris teasing (with kindness) my sons when they were about 5 and 6. He would rub their buzz cut heads and make them giggle. I know he will be missed by all that knew him.
