Loumena Elizabeth Rappa

1909 - 2010

Loumena Elizabeth Rappa, age 101, of Galt, California passed away on December 25, 2010. She was born to A. and Annie Gagnor on September 1, 1909 in Aberdeen, Washington. She was a long-time resident of San Francisco, and was employed as a secretary in the steel industry for over 26 years.
Loumena moved to Galt in 2005 to be near her family. In San Francisco she was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter, where she served as a Worthy Matron among other activities. She subscribed to and was still receiving the National Geographic magazine for over 70 years.
Even though her husband and two children were deceased, she loved having her family close by as much as possible.
She is survived by a sister, Jessie Carleton of Stockton; loving niece, Patricia Ziemann of Galt; great-nephew, Jeff Hall of Galt; and grandchildren, Steven Blakemore, Diane Bakke, Tim Blakemore, Cora Blakemore, Debbie Blakemore, Phillip Blakemore, and Robert Blakemore, Jr.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi,
Pastor Kevin Suess will officiate. Committal will follow in the Garden of Memories.
