Marvin Dixon Obituary

Born December 24, 1925 at Martinsburg, W. VA to John and Viola Dixon. Schooled in W. VA entered the US Navy November 1942 and served on the USS Bridge AFI and was discharged in January 1946.
Marvin came to Lodi in 1946 where he was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local #25 and member of the American Legion, Lodi Post #22.
He worked as a carpenter for 55 years and as a state school inspector for 14 years in Lodi, Manteca and San Andreas schools also at Lodi Memorial Hospital where he remodeled the Gift shop and the E.R.
He thoroughly enjoyed working in the garden, playing cards and being with his family. He, also, enjoyed playing dominoes with his step daughters and their husbands and grandson Aaron Kelley
He married Nadeen Joksch Litz Dixon on October 9, 1982.
Survived by two children: Mike Dixon and Cathy Paoletti of Washington.
Also survived by two step daughters; Charleen (Jerry) Coon of Lodi and Alene (Tony) Garcia of Mesa, AZ.
Three grandchildren; Tyson Paoletti of WA, Tinnell Winterstein of Fisher, MN, Todd Paoletti of CA. Five step grandchildren; Mark Wilkinson of Lodi, Tracy Hightower of Redding, Stacy Hightower of Tuolumne, Alexis Kelley of Lodi and Aaron Kelley of Florida.
Also by Fourteen Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Calvin Dixon and a sister, Marie McCludin.
There will be no visitation and services will be private under the direction of the Donahue Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: AseraCare Hospice, 2529 W. March Ln., Stockton, CA 95204.

Nadeen, so sorry for your loss.I have many fond memories of Marvin,especially the months we shared together building the house in Woodbridge. I will never forget it.He was a great Papa to Alexis and Aaron.We will all miss him very much. My thoughts are with you at this time. Love Dan
