I had the great pleasure of working with Fr. Obrien at the Immaculate Conception. He was a great force at getting female altar servers at the Immaculate. He was such a kind and funny person. He would spend much time teaching me about the stars. God clearly calls the very best.
You and you family are in my prayers

A memorial Mass for Father Don has already been prayed at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Father Don was of immeasurable help to his fellow Missionary Oblates. In 1977 I served with Father Don at Saint Stephen Church in Miramar, Florida. After this he returned to Sacred Heart during my Pastorate. Besides his pastoral service Don was a wonderful Companion. I recall his great love of The Christmas Season!
May Father Don now be one with Jesus the Word Made Flesh.
