Estelle Masse Obituary

Estelle C. Masse an avid camper; 88 Lowell Estelle C. (St. Arnaud) Masse, 88, formerly of Tyngsboro, died June 1, 2008 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. Born in Lowell, Estelle was the daughter of the late Lauria (Ledoux) and Donat St. Arnaud. She leaves her husband of 66 years, Arthur H. R. Masse of Tewksbury, formerly of Tyngsboro. Estelle worked for many years for Sears in Lowell and the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, retiring from the latter in 1982. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Richard H. Masse, and his wife, Andrea Dudley, of Wolfeboro, NH, and a grandson, David Dudley Masse of Portsmouth, NH. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald P. Masse. She was the sister of the late Claire, Henri, Roland, and Paul St. Arnaud. She is survived by several sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. With her husband, she was an avid camper and belonged to a number of local and regional camping organizations. MASSE Estelle C. (St. Arnaud), age 88. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Visitation on Thursday morning, June 5, from 9 AM until 10:45 AM in the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Committal Services will follow at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the D'Youville Foundation, PO Box 8828, Lowell, MA 01853. Estelle was one of the nicest ladies Bob and I ever meet. She will be missed at camp. Our prayers and thoughts are with her Family.

My condolences to the family. As a young boy in Tyngsboro I remember "Aunt" Estelle being the first person to make me wipe my feet at the door. My deepest sympathy.
