Mary Frances Hogan Age 100; Retired Bartlett Teacher of Lowell LOWELL Ms. Mary Frances Hogan, 100, of Lowell, MA, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. Born in Lowell, MA on October 29, 1907, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Doolin) Hogan. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1924 and the Lowell Normal School with the class of 1926. She was employed with Lowell Public Schools, and retired in 1969 from the Bartlett Junior High School. She was a communicant and member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA. She was a member of the North Middlesex Chapter of the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Ladies of St. John's Hospital, and the Irish Heritage Association. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, James Hogan, of Marco Island, FL, Dennis Hogan of Blackstone, MA, John Hogan of Melbourne, FL, Paul Hogan of N. Falmouth, MA, Daniel Hogan of Pinellas Park, FL, Margaret Toombs of Tolland, CT, Kathleen Workman of Jonesboro, TN, Maureen McDowell of Sutton, MA, Christine Hill of Yarmouthport, MA, June Groele of E. Dennis, MA, Mary McCollough of Herndon, VA, and Patricia Farrell of Tyngsboro, MA; 22 grand nieces and nephews; 59 great grand nieces and nephews; and 1 great great grand nephew. HOGAN Mary Frances, of Lowell, MA, died June 4, 2008. Visiting hour Mon. at 10 A.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials may be made in her name to the Mary Frances Hogan Scholarship, UMASS Lowell Graduate School of Education, 510 O'Leary Library, 61 Wilder St., Lowell, MA 01854.
